Who we are

GenAreUS is an apparel brand and community platform that celebrates everyday heroes. References to "we," "us," or "our" in these terms refer to GenAreUS.

Using this site

You may use this site for lawful personal purposes only. You agree not to:

• Use the site in any way that violates applicable law.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
• Impersonate any person or organization.
• Upload content that infringes on someone else's intellectual property.
• Attempt to access, disrupt, or damage any part of the site or its infrastructure.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the site.
• Harass, threaten, or harm any individual referenced on the site.

We reserve the right to terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.

Purchases

Pricing. All prices are listed in US dollars. We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Price changes do not apply to orders already placed.

Payment. We accept major credit and debit cards through Stripe. By placing an order, you authorize us to charge your payment method for the total amount shown at checkout.

Order acceptance. Placing an order constitutes an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion. If we cancel an order after payment is collected, we will issue a full refund.

Taxes. You are responsible for any applicable sales tax. Tax is calculated and collected at checkout where required by law.

Shipping and fulfillment

All orders are fulfilled and shipped by a third-party print-on-demand provider. Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and are estimates only. We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, customs, or circumstances outside our control. Risk of loss transfers to you when the carrier accepts the shipment. Returns and refunds

All products are printed on demand. We do not accept returns or exchanges for buyer's remorse, incorrect size selection, or change of mind. If your order arrives damaged or defective, we will replace it at no charge. Contact hello@genareus.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo of the issue. Hero nominations and user submissions

By submitting a hero nomination, you represent that:

• The information you submit is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• You have a good-faith basis to believe the story is true.
• Any photo you upload is one you have the right to share publicly.
• You are not submitting content to harass, defame, or harm any individual.

By submitting a nomination, you grant GenAreUS a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to publish, display, distribute, and share the story and any accompanying photo across our site and social media channels.

We review all submissions before publishing. We reserve the right to reject, edit, or remove any submission at our discretion. We are not obligated to publish any submission. If you are the subject of a published story and want it removed, contact hello@genareus.com.

User-generated content and photos

By sharing photos or content on social media and tagging GenAreUS, or by submitting photos through our site, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to repost and share that content on our platforms with credit where reasonably practical. You retain ownership of your content. We will remove any reposted content upon request.

Intellectual property

All original content on this site, including text, graphics, logos, and design, is owned by GenAreUS or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any of it without written permission. The GenAreUS name, wordmark, and logo are trademarks of GenAreUS. You may not use them without written permission.

Third-party links

This site may link to third-party websites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or practices. A link does not imply endorsement.

Disclaimer of warranties

This site and all products sold through it are provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the site's availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or harmful components.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GenAreUS and its owners, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or any products purchased through it. Our total liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the product in question. Some states do not allow limitations on implied warranties or exclusions of certain damages. These limitations may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GenAreUS and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses, including legal fees, arising from your use of the site, your submissions, or your violation of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the courts of Ventura County, California.

Dispute resolution

Before filing any legal claim, you agree to contact us at hello@genareus.com and give us 30 days to resolve the issue informally.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the site after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
